Social Evening
We are having a part in the student's' Common Room at Algonquin College (Woodroffe Ave.) on Saturday January 30 at 8 pm, to give all members an opportunity to meet one another. Although there is no playing formally scheduled, anyone bringing his or her guitar and wanting to play is certain to find an audience! There will be no charge for this occasion so we must restrict attendance to members and their immediate families.
Alice Artzt Workshop
Those who attended our last concert in September will remember the superb playing by Alice Artzt. We are arranging a workshop which she will conduct on Sunday afternoon, February 14, at the Muic Dept., Carleton University. Players and auditors are both welcome and tickets will be $5 and $3 respectively. Those interested should contact a member of the Executive, at the party for example.
Ottawa Guitar Quarterly
Contributions from members in general are extremely slow in materializing. Please, if you want to keep the Quarterly in existence, see if you can write something, suggest something that could be reprinted, write or arrange some music, or provide anything that would be of interest to people who love the guitar. Contributions or suggestions should be addressed to the editor,
John Parsons, Apt. 308, 125 Stewart Street, Ottawa.
